Today, Emma Acklam had the pleasure of attending the Hull FC Foundation Cookhouse at the MKM Stadium Community Hub, as part of a special Seafish UK takeover.

The Cookhouse is a weekly Monday morning gathering created especially for local veterans — a welcoming space where people can come together to enjoy good conversation, a warm lunch, and a range of activities including quizzes, dominos, darts and music. It’s a simple idea with a powerful impact, helping to build connection, routine and a strong sense of community.

To mark the occasion, Emma brought along some of our much-loved Iceland Foods fishcakes, including Salmon & Dill and Cod & Parsley. These favourites were warmly received and enjoyed by everyone attending, adding a little Seafish flavour to a brilliant morning.

It was inspiring to see first-hand the fantastic work the Hull FC Foundation does to support local people and causes. At Seafish UK, community sits at the heart of who we are, and we’re proud to play a small part in initiatives that bring people together and make a real difference close to home.
