Today is World Wildlife Day, and it is no secret that sustainability and protecting our oceans is at the pinnacle of all the work we do here at Seafish UK.

Covering two-thirds of the planet, our oceans produce 50% of the oxygen on Earth. They regulate our climate, provide food for over 3 billion people, and absorb 30% of carbon dioxide released into the atmosphere and 90% of the heat from climate change.

The threat to our oceans stands to be one of the largest potential risks to not only us, but all seafood production. The strict standards that we adhere to in seafood farming and production means that populations of threatened or endangered species can be rebuilt and protected for generations to come.
